Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Of Bright Steps International School, East Legon

On the 25th of April, 2025, the Inspector-General of Schools, Prof. Azeko, Salifu Tahiru, represented the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, at a ribbon-cutting ceremony of Bright Steps International, a school that integrates the Cambridge curriculum with Montessori early learning, providing specialized programs such as early intervention for children with autism and gifted education for exceptional learners.
In his remarks, Prof. Azeko Salifu Tahiru, commended the leadership of the school for an initiative that embodies the very essence of Ghana’s educational aspirations, diversity, innovation and inclusivity. He noted that this initiative aligns perfectly with the Ministry’s vision to ensure that no learner is left behind regardless of their learning needs or abilities and underscores the government’s support for initiatives that promote inclusivity.
He further mentioned that the Ministry of Education GH, the National Schools Inspectorate Authority and all other agencies under the Ministry, will stand with Bright Steps International School in this journey.
The event was attended by key stakeholders, including representatives from the Ministry of Health and the office of the Member of Parliament for Madina, parents, students, and community partners.
Climaxing the event was a student art exhibition, sensory activities designed for children with special needs, free health screenings, and partner exhibitions.
