Things to note about NaSIA’s Complaint Process

  • NaSIA can only accept complaints about pre-tertiary public, private, and specialised curricular schools.
  • We will not handle any complaint that has not exhausted the school’s complaint process.

We will review your complaint within thirty (30) days from the day of receipt.

NB: NaSIA reserves the right to refer your complaint to other appropriate organisations if it raises concerns about the safety and well-being of a learner.

Before contacting NaSIA you should:

  • Follow the school’s complaints procedure – every school in Ghana should have one. It should be published on the school’s website or can be obtained directly from the school’s Administration. It should cover the types of complaints the school will deal with
  • Make a formal written complaint to the school. The school’s complaint procedure will tell you how to do this
  •  If unhappy with the school’s response to your written complaint, follow the next steps in the school’s complaint procedure. This may tell you to complain to the governing body, school management committee or another organisation
  • NaSIA will request evidence of all the above before it gets involved in a complaint
