Inauguration of New Board

An eleven-member governing board for the National Schools Inspectorate Authority (NaSIA) has been inaugurated by the Minister for Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, in a ceremony which took place on the 3rd of July 2025, in the Ministers’ Conference Room at the Ministry of Education.
Addressing the newly constituted board, the Minister emphasized the critical role that NaSIA plays in ensuring quality standards within the pre-tertiary education system. He expressed great worry over the threat to safety and well-being of both learners and teachers, urging the board to take practical and decisive steps toward fulfilling NaSIA’s mandate of ensuring quality standards in Pre-Tertiary schools across the country.
The chairman of the board, Dr. Aaworb-Nang expressed deep gratitude on behalf of all board members to the President of the Republic of Ghana and the Minister for Education for the opportunity to serve. He reaffirmed the board’s commitment to upholding NaSIA’s mission and advancing the national agenda for quality education. He pledged to work with key stakeholders to ensure the tasked assigned them is realized.

The new board which includes, Maabobor Kor Jacob Aaworb-Nang Ph.D, Dr. Monique Armstrong-Baidoo, Dr. Christian Addai-Poku, Prof. Samuel Ofori Obuobisah Bekoe, Mr. Obenfo Nana Kwasi Gyetuah, Mr. Divine Worlanyo Agbenyo, Mr. Michael Akanvibe Ayuraboya, Ms. Emilia Affi Agbenyo, Dr. Issahaque Munawaru, Jennifer Tachi ESQ , Ing. Prof. Tahiru Salifu Azeko. is expected to focus their attention on strengthening schools inspection, improving regulatory compliance, and supporting continuous improvement in teaching and learning outcomes across Ghana’s basic and second cycle schools.
